You are required to complete the following:

  • Prior to September 1, 2025

Multiple License Holders If you are an individual holding more than one barbering and cosmetology license, continuing education requirements taken for one license will satisfy the continuing education requirements for the other license(s). Step 2: Obtain Your Continuing Education Certificate

Step 3: Renew Your Texas Cosmetology Operator License

Once your credits are reported to TDLR, you can renew your license online on the TDLR website.

The standard renewal fee for all individual barber & cosmetology licenses is $50, $75 if late

You will also need the numerical portion of your license number and the last four digits of your Social Security number to renew online. If you do not have a Social Security number, you will need to renew by mail.
