Required Coursework If You Have Held Your License for over 15 years:
You are required to complete both of the following:
- Prior to September 1, 2025
- One hour of department-approved continuing education in sanitation with human trafficking awareness
- After September 1, 2025 (New Rules)
- One hour of department-approved continuing education in sanitation
- One hour of department-approved continuing education in human trafficking awareness
The additional two hours of continuing education will be waived and will not be required.
For Individuals with Multiple Licenses
If you hold more than one license within the barbering and cosmetology operator professions (such as barber and manicurist or esthetician), any continuing education completed for one license will also count toward fulfilling the requirements for your other license(s).
